Hebrew, like Arabic, is a Semitic language but is spoken by a significantly less number of people. About half of the 10 million Hebrew speaking population is located in Israel and the rest are spread throughout the world. Hebrew has its own writing system which is very beautiful and grammatically it has something similar to the case system, which is absent in English (for the most part). Along the same lines as Arabic, Hebrew is a very important language in religion in the Abrahamic faiths. Arabic is associated with the Quran and Islam and Hebrew is associated with the Torah and Judaism.
